Message to Our Members – September 2024

(2 Minute Read) — As summer comes to a close, we are excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, a time of great cultural significance. This special occasion allows us to come together as a community to honor the rich history, traditions, and contributions of our Hispanic and Latino communities.

From September 15 to October 15, we proudly celebrate the profound impact of Hispanic culture on our society. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is more than just a nod to cultural tradition; it’s a vital opportunity for all of us to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the diverse contributions made by Hispanic and Latino communities.

By highlighting their rich history and achievements, we not only honor their past but also foster a greater sense of unity and inclusion within our society. These celebrations inspire individuals through powerful stories of success and resilience. They bring our community together, strengthen connections, and emphasize the importance of working collectively toward a more inclusive future. This month’s events support these important values and help us build a welcoming environment where every member feels valued and celebrated. 

On August 20, we kicked off our celebrations with our fourth Juntos Avanzamos (Together We Advance) Celebration at our new Unitus Business Center at Tigard. This annual event allows us to connect with community partners; government, civic, and industry leaders; and advocates dedicated to financial inclusion and empowerment. 

As we observe Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor the past and build toward a more inclusive future. Thank you for being an essential part of our vibrant community.
