Unitus Scholarships Open April 14

(2 Minute Read) – Every year, Unitus Community Credit Union awards seven (7) outstanding student members and child dependents/spouses/significant others of Unitus employees with scholarships to assist with the cost of higher education.

Since the Unitus Scholarship Program launched in 2004, we’ve strived to find new ways to support our student members and walk with them through life’s defining moments. To date, we’ve awarded over 165 student scholarships totaling nearly $220,000, and we’re not stopping there!

Unitus is pleased to offer seven $2,500 scholarships for higher educational purposes through the Unitus Scholarship Program once again in 2022. Read on for a summary of Unitus Scholarship eligibility and deadlines, and visit our Unitus Scholarships page to learn more and apply!

Eligibility

We aim to make our scholarships as accessible as possible, which is why Unitus Scholarships are available to student members (primary or joint) as well as spouses/significant others (residing at the same address) of members; dependent biological, step, or adoptive children of members; and biological, step, or adoptive grandchild of a current Unitus Community Credit Union employee.

Additionally, applicants must be a high school senior or graduate, or a current postsecondary undergraduate, who plans to enroll or is enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Students, including past scholarship recipients, may reapply each year.

Recipient Selection

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, work experience, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, statement of career and educational goals and objectives, and unusual personal or family circumstances. Financial need is not considered. There is no GPA requirement.
