Our Mobile App is Great, But…

Quick question, without thinking: Where is your nearest Unitus branch?
…
Do you have an answer in mind?
…
Aha! If you said Gresham, Salem, or any of our 12 local branches, we’ve got news for you: your nearest branch is actually in your pocket!
Yes, that was probably a little corny, cheesy, and any number of food-related metaphors. But yes, it is also true!
Try this: Take half a minute now and list everything you do at your local Unitus branch.
Now consider everything you can do with your mobile app. Notice any overlap?
- Pay a bill
- Add a new account (savings, checking, and more)
- Deposit money into an account (thanks to SnapCheck)
- Transfer money between accounts (or set up a recurring transfer)
- Apply for a new credit card, home equity line, personal loan, even home loan
- Check how many rewards points you have
- Send a message to a real-life Unitus Member Support Specialist who will personally respond
- And lots more
Don’t forget the most important part: doing it all from your couch!
Oh, and members love the app.
Right now it’s rated 4.8 on the Apple App Store and 4.6 on Google Play.
Sure, you can do a lot with the app. But…
Let’s not forget. As much as technology makes things more convenient for us, it should still be used in moderation.
What’s more, there is plainly no replacement for the distinctly human interaction you will get at your local Unitus branch.
Many of us have our favorite Unitus branch with our favorite Member Advocate: the one you’ll wait for, even when others are available; the one you look forward to sharing your personal news with that day; the one who knows you, who gets you.
No matter how advanced technology gets, there’s still no replacement for that. (Yet?)
So the next time you need to transfer money, pay a bill, apply for a loan, or whatever else can improve your life, think about handling it through the mobile app.
…And the time after that, come into the branch and see us. We’ll be glad you did.
